Hello, my name is Tom Lukas and I play guitar. I've been playing guitar since 1966. I started playing in High School bands soon after I got my first guitar. I like to play rock, blues-rock, and blues.

When I started out my favorite bands tended to be those that played blues influenced rock music, like: The Animals, Cream, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Paul Butterfield, Johnny Winter, etc. It wasn't until I was in my twenties that I discovered blues artists such as BB King, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, etc.  Since that time, I've played in many cover-bands while working my day jobs. I've played a variety of music over the years, but rock and blues have been my primary influences.

In 1979 I moved from Boulder CO to San Jose CA to play in an original rock band. I was fortunate to do that for a couple of years with a band called “Sinti.” That's me in the red suit.

In 1982 I married my wife and started a family. Over the years while working day jobs during the week I continued to play on-and-off with weekend cover-bands. However I’ve continued to write songs in my free time, and thanks to digital recording applications I’ve been able to produce some demos of my music.

I'd like to collaborate with musicians whose influences are similar to mine, and would like to hear from other song writers to pick up a few tips or share critiques. I live in Fremont California, and I am available to talk about original projects/song writing. If you are interested please send me an e-mail.
